English Teacher


Shane English School Kyushu, the Kyushu franchise of Shane English School Japan, is now inviting applications for a variety of teaching opportunities in its Fukuoka schools. A full-time position and various part-time shifts are available, so applicants are requested to clearly state their preference for full or part-time work.Full-time teachers enjoy a 5-day working week and a salary of between 250,000 to 270,000 per month, the school’s usual holidays, 5 additional days of discretionary paid leave. The option of pension and health insurance may also be available. The 2 days off each week include Sunday, although attendance on training days and occasional special events is required. In general, attendance is required for 46 weeks of the year, so time off as paid leave is a big plus. Shane offers classes that are educational and enjoyable, an organised and easy to follow curriculum for all levels(child to adult), in an environment where growth as an educator is encouraged and expected. Training and detailed lesson guides are provided. After the initial orientation and training, regular teacher development days will be held throughout the year. A typical full-time shift runs from 12 or 1pm to 9pm. A typical part-time shift would run from 4 or 5pm to 9pm.Most lessons taught will be 4-skills general English classes for children or adults, however it is particularly important that applicants are comfortable teaching children(including very young children aged 2 and up). The position also requires instructors who are able to teach business and exam English classes.
