SW Test Engineer Smart Factory


Position: Software Test Engineer (Smart Factory) Location Seoul Korea Job Description An ideal candidate has interest in the development and testing of systems, primarily software based, and toward user centric design and usability. Applies an interdisciplinary, collaborative approach to plan, design, develop and verify basic lifecycle balanced system of systems and system solutions. Evaluates customer/operational needs to define system performance requirements, integrate technical parameters and assure compatibility of all physical, functional and program interfaces. Duties include aiding in the development of testing procedures, completion of testing processes and reporting, and recommending changes for usability issues. In this new role, the successful candidate: Demonstrates understanding in systems engineering methods Assists in research, design, development, improvement and implementation of processes to enhance schedule performance, lower cost, and improve quality, through the application of Lean and other Industrial Engineering concepts for large scale systems integration and asset utilization. Utilizes engineering methods (e.g., mathematical models, simulation, statistics) to support the development of optimal process designs and efficient utilization of resources in the creation and validation of manufacturing production information technology. Assists with technical planning, system integration, verification and validation, cost and risk, and effectiveness analyses for enterprise scalable systems Assists with the development, documentation and maintenance of architectures, requirements, algorithms, interfaces and designs for software systems. Validates subsystem, system, and system-of-systems concepts by inspection, analysis, test, and demonstration to assure that the system architecture and design concepts satisfy the intent of customer requirements. Identifies solutions to basic problems and supports the development of testing processes, methods, and tools. Develops simple test procedures configuration definition needed to perform the test and minimize risk. Supports development of test debrief material and prepares test reports for review. Participates with higher level analyst/designer on project teams to create effective, usable and satisfying user experiences with information technology. Participates in user-centered design activities. Assists in the definition of user requirements and usability goals. A working knowledge of software development and lean/continuous improvement activities is highly desired. Works under general supervision. Qualifications Qualifications: Must want to work within an agile development environment and should also demonstrate effective written and verbal communication skills. Must enjoy working as part of a larger team, be comfortable voicing and receiving opinions, and adding overall value to the process and solution. Candidate should have prior experience in best practices for systems engineering methodologies. Candidate should also be comfortable providing systems engineering capabilities interdisciplinary team. Required Skills: Understanding of systems engineering frameworks Knowledgeable in UML and SysML language’s Proficient with the MS Office suite of tools Desired Skills: Experience in using modeling and simulation tools for systems engineering, such as Cameo Experience in process creation and documentation Experience in Java, Java script, Python, C#, C or comparable Object Oriented Language Experience with Discrepancy Reporting/Tracking tools Experience with Agile project management tools (TFS, Jira, etc) Desired Education/Experience Degree and typical experience in engineering classification: Bachelor's and 2 or more years' experience or a Master's degree with experience. Bachelor, Master or Doctorate of Science degree from an accredited course of study, in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry.
